Two kinds of text reach us directly: the messages you write in a conversation and anything you send through the contact form, including the name and email address you choose to give.
Information collected automatically
Standard technical data is recorded when a page is served: approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser type, referring address and the pages viewed. This is used for security and for understanding which pages are useful.
Why the data is used
- To deliver conversations and keep continuity between sessions.
- To answer messages sent through the contact form.
- To detect abuse, spam and attempts to break the service.
- To improve page content and the character catalogue.
Conversation content
Conversation text is processed so that a character can respond and remember context. It is not published, sold, or used to build a public profile of you. Avoid sending financial details, identity documents or sensitive information about other people.
Cookies
Cookies and similar storage are used to keep a session working and to measure aggregate traffic. You can clear or block them in your browser, though some parts of the experience may then behave differently.
Third parties
Hosting, delivery networks, analytics and language processing are supplied by external providers acting on our instructions. They receive only what is needed to perform their part and are bound by their own obligations.
Retention
Conversation data is retained while your use continues and for a limited period afterwards. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the data associated with you, ask for correction, or ask for deletion. Send the request through the contact page and it will be handled within a reasonable period.
Children
The service is for adults. Idolchat ai does not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen, and any such data found is deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page. Significant changes will be signalled on the home page.
